An investigation has begun into the deaths of 28-year-old woman and a five-year-old girl whose bodies were found at a house in Warwickshire.
A member of the public found the two bodies in a house in Christie Way, Stratford-Upon-Avon, just before 1000 BST, Warwickshire Police said.
It said the deaths were being treated as unexplained and post-mortem tests would be carried out in due course.
Det Supt Noel McMenamin said it was an "isolated and tragic incident".
Formal identification has not yet taken place.
The BBC understands there was no forced entry at the house.
