A Leamington man has been jailed for life for murdering a young Polish mum and dumping her body in a field.

26-year old Moczulski (pictured above) from the town’s Newgale Walk, has been told he will spend at least 32 years in prison for Ela’s murder.

Speaking after today’s conviction, Detective Chief Inspector James Essex who the led the investigation said:

“This proved to be an extremely complex and challenging investigation for Warwickshire Police.

“The detailed and painstaking work carried out by many facets of the force was critical in bringing this case to a conclusion today.

“Piotr Moczulski, who was an acquaintance of Ela, became a key suspect from an early stage of the investigation.

“But even when faced with CCTV evidence showing Ela getting into his car and driving off with her in the passenger seat, he continued to deny his involvement in her disappearance and murder.

Police have revealed Moczulski actually led them to Ela’s body but continued to deny any involvement.

Detective Chief Inpector Essex is happy with today’s outcome: “Moczulski has been convicted of this cruel, brutal and senseless murder and we welcome this sentence.

“Knowing that he is in prison will be a small consolation for Ela’s close knit family, which includes her husband and young son, whom she was devoted to.”

23-year old Ela Kinczyk (pictured below) had come to the town to earn cash for her husband and 5-year old son back in Poland.

She was staying with her sister and brother-in-law when she disappeared after meeting a friend, Piotr Moczulski, near the Rangemaster factory in the Brunswick area last June.

Her family called police and after one of the Warwickshire force’s biggest ever searches Ela’s body was found 10 days later near Windmill Hill Lane in Chesterton.

She had been raped and had suffered eight different wounds to her head.
