Performers with the Netherlands National Circus are currently making themselves at home in Coventry at Hearsall Common with a purpose-built big top.
Their family show runs until Sunday and features no animals – just some of the world’s top circus acts.
Joining Junior and the Flying Neves are comic acrobats the Two Magyas, Beautiful Bubbles Tetiana from the Volga, crazy cyclist Petro from Russia, clown Pom-Pom from Budapest, the Triple Somersault Springboard Gymnasts from Hungary and the Duo Kolinshnichenko from Russia.
Circus spokesman Chris Barltrop said: “Although the circus is a British invention, it has always enjoyed a much higher artistic status in Europe.
“The European Parliament recently voted to support the traditional circus as an ‘important part of European culture.’”
The box office for the family show is open at the Coventry site at Hearsall Common every day from 10am to 8pm or ring 0844 415 5228 for ticket details.
There are quite a few clowns in my family but none of them will be appearing on Hearsall Common
