A pub in Kenilworth has won a national award for its food.
The Almanack, in Abbey End North, took the title of All Day Dining Pub of the Year at the Great British Pub Food Awards 2011.
Head chef Jacub Fijak and his team collected their award at a ceremony in London.
Mohammed Essa, General Manager of Aviko, sponsors of the award, said: “It wasn’t easy to choose a winner from this shortlist of great pubs, but The Almanack won the day, based on their delicious food, superb standards and innovative approach.”
Jo Bruce, deputy editor of pub industry magazine Morning Advertiser, which runs the awards, said: “The Almanack has seized the opportunity by offering everything from breakfasts to morning coffees, afternoon teas and sharing platters available all hours.”
