London Midland say they’re still doing all they can to sort out a row that saw trains between Coventry and Nuneaton not run again this morning.

Over the last fortnight, dozens of services have been cancelled because the union ASLEF hasn’t agreed a new deal on overtime.

It means the company are shortstaffed – and have been replacing trains on their less-used routes (such as Coventry-Nuneaton) with buses, significantly increasing journey times.

You can see a day-by-day breakdown of how services are affected here.

The company’s operations man Wallace Weatherill is hoping they can resolve things sooner rather than later:

“We are sitting down with ASLEF next week and we are hoping that we can persuade them to allow our drivers to keep working overtime because lets face it in this day and age people do like the happy balance.”

“We’ve been trying to give as much information to passengers as possible about what trains will be affected. We’ve used our website to give at least 48 hours notice, we’ve found that particularly useful to pass information on to the customers.”

I've yet to see a passenger using the Coventry-Nuneaton service!
