Mohammed Hanif from Birmingham and Hung Duc Le, an illegal immigrant from Vietnam both admitted conspiracy to cultivate cannabis.

Between them, they will spend over seven years in prison.

As well as Coventry, their gang set up farms in Birmingham, Gloucester and Newcastle.

They made over £358,000 and often hired Vietnameses illegal immigrants to maintain the plants.

Detectives are now trying to find a third man involved in the operation – Tu Cong Troung.

The case comes just days after police in Coventry discovered £2 million worth of plants in an industrial estate in Radford in what they’re calling their biggest haul to date.
