Three Coventry City players are facing late fitness test as the side look for their first win in the league since December.



Captain Lee Carsley and playmaker Sammy Clingan are both needed to bolster the midfield but manager Aidy Boothroyd hasn’t yet decided whether to risk them for the visit of 4th from bottom Crystal Palace.

Defender Ben Turner is also returning to fitness following a long injury layoff.

One man definitely back is Marlon King – the club’s top scorer is fully recovered from a bout of flu.

The Sky Blues are looking for their win victory in 11 league games – hear every kick live on Mercia’s Goalzone from 2pm on Saturday with Joe Holt and Dave Bennett.

Elsewhere, Nuneaton Town will be looking to get back to winning ways too and extend their lead at the top of Blue Square North tomorrow.

Coventry Blaze begin their weekend of action early tonight with a visit to 3rd-placed Belfast Giants in the Elite League.

They’ll play them again in the same arena on Saturday before returning to the Skydome to face Hull Stringrays on Sunday.

The matches should see defenceman James Pease break the club’s appearance record.

Finally, Coventry Rugby Club will play Barking for the very first time tomorrow.

Cov will be up against it at the Butts Park Arena – the visitors haven’t lost a game all season since being promoted to National League One.
