A double glazing firm in Rugby has closed this week after serving the town for 20 years – leaving more than 18 people out of work.

Rugby Double Glazing, in Temple Street, is in the process of going into liquidation after becoming the latest victim of the economic downturn.

The firm, which officially closed its doors yesterday, has appointed Coventry-based firm Business Recovery and Insolvency.

The company has been operating in the town since 1991.

Director of BRI, John Warburton, said: “It is very sad that a company which has served Rugby for so long is going into liquidation.

“But there has been some interest in the company and if a sale can be agreed then it is possible that the business could continue under a different management.”

As luck would have it, two huge vans were unloading in front of the showroom when Google tried to photograph it! :fuming:
