It happened on Burnaby Road
Firefighters were called after a woman smashed into a telegraph pole in Coventry. It happened on Burnaby Road in Radford.
Crews from Foleshill Fire Station were called to Burnaby Road at around 1.30pm on Wednesday (August 19). Police also attended and found that a SEAT Leon had crashed into a telegraph pole and was badly damaged.
Medics were also called, but the female driver declined to be assessed. Firefighters made the area safe before leaving the scene at around 2pm.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: “We responded to reports of a crash on Burnaby Road in Coventry just before 1.30pm on Wednesday (August 19). It involved one car that had collided with a telegraph lamppost.
“One person had exited the vehicle prior to our arrival and did not require any medical attention. Our crew worked to make the vehicle safe. We left the scene shortly after 2pm.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an RTC on Burnaby Road in Coventry at 1.21pm on Wednesday. Crews found a car had come off the road and hit a telegraph pole, but the driver, a woman, did not wish to be assessed.”
