It has been a wet few days
Parts of Nuneaton and surrounding areas are underwater this morning after a day of heavy and persistent rain in the region led to local rivers breaking their banks.
Multiple flood warnings and alerts have been issued across Coventry and Warwickshire, with the North Warwickshire town the worst hit - three separate government issued flood warnings for the town.
The Environment Agency says we should expect this to have an impact, with the Met Office predicting more wet and windy weather. See below for more information.
Flood warning for River Anker at Horeston Grange and AttleboroughThe government's 'check for flooding' website states : "High river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning (28 February).
"Flooding may affect properties and roads in the Launceston Drive area, Kingfisher Court, Liberty Way, Pembroke Way, Attleborough Road, Seymour Road, Caarnarfon Drive, Ribbonbrook, Lister Street, Ribbonfields and Pingle Court areas.
"We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and Activate any flood protection products you may have."

Flood warning for River Anker at WeddingtonThe government's 'check for flooding' website states: "Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning (28 February 2026).
"Flooding may affect properties and roads in the Church Lane, Cleaver Gardens, Cleaver Park Sports Ground, Brook Lane and parts of Weddington Road areas."
There are also a number of flood alerts issued, including in Coventry with Rivers Sowe and Sherbourne at risk, as well as Canley and Finham Brooks. In South Warwickshire Rivers Leam, Itchen and Blythe also have alerts active.
