Several bus routes have been withdrawn in parts of Warwickshire and adjustments made to timetables, operator Stagecoach Midlands said.

The changes across the Leamington and Stratford areas from Saturday follow a review of passenger patterns and low demand, it added.

Four early morning services have been withdrawn with minor changes made to timetables for services 1, X17 and X18.

Mark Whitelocks, managing director for Stagecoach Midlands, said: "We've looked closely at where passenger numbers have changed and made targeted decisions to ensure our services remain sustainable while still meeting the needs of the majority of customers."

The changes mean a duplicate school service for Aylesford School at 07:29 from Leamington Parish Church and 15: 20 GMT from Aylesford School on Mondays to Fridays has been withdrawn.

Alternative school-day travel remains available on Service AS1, Stagecoach Midlands said.

Minor timetable adjustments have been introduced before 07:00 and after 18:00 on Mondays to Fridays and before 09:00 and after 15:00 on Saturdays.

The X17 service at 05:55 from Leamington to Warwick on Mondays to Fridays has been withdrawn due to low passenger numbers.

The Service X18 service at 06:30 from Warwick to Stratford on Mondays to Fridays, has also been withdrawn for the same reason along with the 06:15 Leamington to Warwick service on Saturdays.

"We remain committed to providing reliable, high-quality public transport for the region, and we'll continue reviewing our network to make sure it works for the communities we serve," Mr Whitelocks added.
