The event, which was held in the city last year, will see the return of the Snow Globe Fairy, as well as fire and ice sculpture demonstrations
Seven-foot-tall singing robins, a snow lion and a swan pedalo are among the characters returning to Coventry as part of a free Christmas event in the city centre.
The Christmas Dreams event will be held in University Square, the Cathedral Ruins, and other locations on Saturday 22 November.
The festival, which will include appearances from Father Christmas, will take place between 15:00 and 20:00 GMT.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy fire and ice sculpture demonstrations, multi-sensory storytelling and more.
Councillor Abdul Salam Khan said the Christmas Dreams event would "bring a trail of magical festivities to our city centre" and provide a platform for "breathtaking performances, comedy shows and traditional Christmas characters for all ages".
Locations involved include Upper Precinct, Broadgate, Smithford Way, Market Way and Hertford Street.
There will be free parking for entry after 15:00 GMT at council run, city centre car parks.
