Two thugs have been jailed after a 'horrific' attack on a man in Coventry. Leonard Hunte and Horeb Mayukua targeted the man on Stoney Stanton Road.

On January 5 this year, Hunte and Mayukua were driving along the road when they pulled up near the victim, who has not been identified. He was stabbed multiple times and sustained serious injuries.

Police said the man was lucky to have survived after running to a nearby shop while his attackers fled. Despite losing a large amount of blood, his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives launched an investigation into the stabbing, and Hunte and Mayukua were arrested. Both were charged in January and appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Friday (September 26), where they were both sentenced.

Hunte, 19, was jailed for 12 years for wounding. Mayukua, 22, was sentenced to six and a half years in jail.
