Georgia Bird said her iPhone 12 was taken as she battled to save her brother Reece
A Coventry woman has shared her fury after her iPhone was taken as she performed CPR on her brother as he lay dying. Georgia Bird said it was taken as she battled to save her injured brother Reece.
Police were called after Reece had come off his motorbike on Quorn Way at around 8pm on Friday (May 16). He was found to have sustained serious injuries.
Sister Georgia had been performing CPR on Reece when she passed her iPhone 12 to an officer, who placed it on their car roof, she told CoventryLive. But shortly afterwards, they noticed that it was missing.
Georgia said its last known location was Riley Square in Bell Green. She and her family have appealed to the person who took the iPhone to come forward.
Brother Kyle Bird said: “Her iPhone was taken on the night my brother died while she performed CPR. Please, can someone come forward and return the phone as it has all her recent memories with my brother, and she is distraught.”
Medics said they and bystanders battled to save Reece, but despite their efforts, he was too badly injured. He was tragically pronounced dead just yards from his home in Binley.
Kyle said his family has been devastated by the tragedy and remembered Reece for being 'funny, loyal, and family-oriented.' He was just 26 when he died.
Detectives at West Midlands Police are continuing to investigate the crash and have been reviewing CCTV. Anyone with information has been urged to get in touch with them by emailing
