Police stopped more than 35 vehicles in a crackdown at Alvis Retail Park in Coventry. Officers were deployed across the city as part of Operation Regroup.
Teams stopped 36 vehicles in the city, including Bolt and Uber drivers, and 25 offences were recorded. Crimes ranged from illegal tints to dangerous tyre defects, with a number of city drivers reported to the DVSA.
Three people were arrested for driving while disqualified or driving while under the influence of drugs. All of the suspects were taken into custody for questioning on Thursday (May 15).
Separately, a man was arrested after being found with 14 wraps of heroin, two bags of suspected cannabis, £550 in cash and a ball of what was believed to be crack cocaine worth £10,000.
