A Coventry restaurant has revealed a new eye-catching outdoor dining plan. Anatolia is a Turkish Barbecue Grill based in Earsldon.

The venue has applied to Coventry City Council for permission to make a change to its outdoor eating. It has asked for the go-ahead to install a steel-framed pergola with glass infill panels to cover its outdoor seating area.

It says it will replace the existing awning and hand rails at the front of the restaurant on Earlsdon Street. The application also includes a number of designs of what the pergola will look like.

On one of the designs it explains the pergola will have an electronically-operated sliding roof. It will also have sliding side windows.

The application is now being considered by planning officers at the city council. All of the proposals, including the designs can be looked at by visiting the council's website, searching in the planning applications section for reference PL/2025/0000168/FUL.

A decision is set to be made on whether to approve the application by March 25.
