A man broke into Dunkin' Donuts in Eindhoven on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday after he probably had a few too many drinks

He was inside for two hours during his break-in, ate until he was full and decided to take a lot of merchandise with him when he left the store.

'A suspect was probably hungry after probably drinking a bit too much alcohol,' says the Eindhoven police in a message on Facebook. According to the police, the man thought he could open the door at the donut shop in the city center because he probably felt like a late-night snack.

The man stayed inside the shop for two hours and decided to treat himself during that time. He baked himself a panini - which he then ate in peace in the shop - and then also took some whipped cream from one of the cans that was in the shop. He also got something to drink.

When he finally left the store, he also took a lot of merchandise from the donut chain with him. Because these items were quite valuable, the store decided to file a report. 'After a short investigation, we came up with a suspect fairly quickly,' the police report. Officers went to the suspect's home and arrested him there.

Officers also found stolen merchandise in the home, which was seized by police and returned to the donut shop. "The investigation is continuing and the suspect has some explaining to do."
