Nuneaton see off Stratford in Birmingham Senior Cup

Nuneaton Town held off Warwickshire rivals Stratford Town to progress to the third round of the Birmingham Senior Cup.

Boro won 2-1 at Knights Lane, with James Armson grabbing the opener on the stroke of half-time.

Tom James blasted in a free-kick to level the tie for the home side, before Justin Marsden's fifth goal of the season settled the match.

Elsewhere, Coventry Sphinx went down 4-1 at Solihull Moors.

Meanwhile, Sphinx's youngsters were beaten 6-1 by Swindon Town in the second round of the FA Youth Cup.

In the Zamaretto Central, Atherstone drew 1-1 with Rugby and Bedworth lost 2-1 at home to Daventry.
