Mohammed Kashin had to be 'forced back' by passers-by during his rampage at City Arcade
A Coventry man who waved two knives around outside a city nightclub has been jailed. Mohammed Kashin lunged and charged at innocent bystanders at City Arcade.
Kashin, 38, was seen on CCTV leaving a club after he had been involved in an argument on Saturday, August 12. He then left the area, returning a short time later with two knives before lunging and charging at people with them, said West Midlands Police.
Kashin was seen swinging the knives at a number of people, narrowly missing a couple of them. He was eventually stopped by security and members of the public, some of whom used a metal street barrier to force him back.
He then hid the knives in the roller shutter of a nearby shop and attempted to flee, but was quickly stopped and arrested. Kashin, of Bristol Road, was jailed for 12 months for affray and possession of a knife, said West Midlands Police.
