West Midlands Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a suspected theft at Coventry Cathedral. The force says that a projector was stolen on March 5 and there was an attempted theft of charity donations later in the month.

Police believe that the man pictured may have information which could help their investigation.

The force tweeted: "Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him after a projector was stolen from Coventry Cathedral on 5 March, shortly before 3.20pm.

"We would also like to speak to him over the attempted theft of charity donations from a candle stand on March 24. If you recognise him please contact us via Live Chat on our website or call 101 quoting crime investigation number 20/293426/23."

A man has been arrested in connection with a suspected theft from Coventry Cathedral following a police appeal this week. West Midlands Police released an image of a man who they wanted to speak to in connection with the incident.

The force has now confirmed that a man has been arrested. West Midlands Police said that a projector was stolen on March 5 and there was an attempted theft of charity donations later in the month.

Coventry Police tweeted: "Following on from our public appeal - Male arrested this evening for burglary and attempted theft at Coventry Cathedral. Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."

It was hardly necessary to send an armed response vehicle from Derbyshire, which is the picture they used! :clown:
