The incident happened on Gosford Street in Coventry
Bad parking - it's the sort of thing that gets on people's nerves. And even worse if it causes traffic mayhem on the road.
When yet another example of bad parking reared its ugly head last night, the good people of Coventry felt compelled to take action. A group of passers-by teamed up to lift and move a car off the road so that a bus could get past.
It's claimed the Audi in question had been parked on double red lines along Gosford Street. Photos show the car diagonal to the kerb and with its boot protruding out onto the road.
A bus approaching from behind was unable to get by the car and reportedly remained stationary for around 17 minutes before the good Samaritans came to the rescue. A witness who was at the scene told CoventryLive bad parking on the street was a 'daily' problem.
They said: "The car was parked on Gosford Street blocking the road. It took a group of guys to lift it out the road while parked on double red lines so the bus could pass.
"This happened last night around 8.30pm. The bus waited about 17 minutes and was blocked before those guys came and pushed the car out the way
"It happens on that particular street on a daily basis even though the council has red routed the street." This is not the first instance of bad parking that has been reported in the city.
