Thief with weapon threatens Coleshill member of staff

A thief threatened a member of staff at a Warwickshire store before making off with health and beauty products.



The man, described as about 20 to 25 years old, stole products from Tesco Express on High Street, Coleshill, at shortly before 1900 BST on Thursday.

A member of staff gave chase as the man ran along High Street before turning into an alleyway near to The Swan pub.

At one point the man produced a weapon, similar to a knife or a screwdriver, officers said.

The thief has been described as being white with short dark hair.

He was wearing a black bomber-style jacket with a light-coloured T-shirt underneath which had some sort of a pattern on it, Warwickshire Police said.

It added he was also wearing faded black jeans and black trainers with orange laces and orange soles.
