Teens 'wreak havoc' at busy shopping park in Coventry

Police are investigating after a group of teenagers behaviour got out of hand at a Coventry shopping park. Shoppers at the Arena Shopping Park reported kids wreaking 'havoc, shoplifting and being rude to staff in Tesco on shortly before 8pm on Thursday, August 18.

It is understood they were also 'terrorising' bus and taxi drivers as well as security guards. In a post on Facebook, one unnamed eyewitness said: “If any of these are your children please have a word with them and teach them how to behave if they are hanging around without their parents.”

West Midlands Police confirmed to CoventryLive it had started an investigation into the matter and officers were working with the shopping park security team to review CCTV footage. A police spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of anti-social behaviour at the retail park. We are working with security to review CCTV. Enquiries are ongoing, anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat quoting log 1436 of 18 August.”

Arena Shopping Park has been approached for comment.
