Warning as Bedworth Bypass slip road closure starts tonight

Motorists are being warned that access to a slip-road onto the A444 Bedworth bypass will be closed for four nights starting tonight (Tuesday). Access to the bypass from Newtown Road will be out of bounds as of tonight (August 16).

Resurfacing works are due to take place over the next four nights - until Friday, August 19 - between 7pm and 6am.

Newtown Road will be closed eastbound from Croft Road to Croft Pool and westbound from Croft Pool to exit road from A444. Warwickshire County Council, which is responsible for the roadworks, says that a diversion will be in place.

It is the latest road resurfacing taking place across the town as works are also currently taking place on Hospital Lane to make repairs to the busy road.

There will also be multi-way signals in place on Longford Road on Friday, August 19, and this could cause delays across the area.
