A man and woman were attacked in a robbery on a Coventry street. The pair were walking along London Road when they were approached by three men on motorbikes, police said.

The thieves pulled up next to them before stealing the man's wallet and pouncing on the two people. The pair both suffered injuries to the face, while the man also sustained further injuries to his knee and elbow.

Coventry Police said in a statement: "We are appealing for information on a robbery in Coventry earlier this month. A man and woman were walking along London Road when they were approached by three men on motorbikes.

"They pulled up near to them, and assaulted them both, before stealing the man’s wallet. They both suffered injuries to their face, and the man suffered further injuries to his knee and elbow.

"We are appealing to anyone with dash cam footage or who witnessed the incident. If you have any information, please contact us via Live Chat or by 101, quoting 20/633147/22.
