This cavalcade of Christmas tractors will hit the street of Nuneaton and Bedworth tonight (Saturday).

Last night (December 10) saw the Sheepy and District Ploughing Association's 'Charity Christmas Tractor Run' hit Atherstone and surrounding villages.

Tonight (December 11) is the turn of Nuneaton and Bedworth to welcome the festive fleet of vehicles decked out in thousands of lights.

People turned out in their hundreds last night to wave as the fleet, which included some surprise snow blowers, went by.

Even more are expected tonight when the parade hits main roads across the borough and into neighbouring Hinckley.

Those looking to see the procession tonight should note it is due to set off from Abbey Farm, Merevale, at around 5.30pm before heading towards Hartshill.

It will make its way to the heart of Nuneaton, taking in Abbey Green, the outskirts of Nuneaton town centre, through Stockingford then up to Ansley.

From there the festive fleet will then head towards Fillongley, through to Bedworth, past Collycroft, the Griff area and then through Hill Top, Attleborough and up to the Longshoot.

It will then head towards Hinckley on the A5.

There were concerns earlier in the week about 'sickening' fraudsters who are trying to cash in on the cherished event.

The event is not only staged to spread festive cheer, donations are also welcomed for Mary Ann Evans Hospice, St Giles Hospice and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance..

They have set a target of raising £10,000 and more than £6,000 has already been donated for the three good causes.

Organisers are appealing to people to only donate through the official Crowdfunding page.
