'It looks like Seeswood Pool'
Severn Trent say they will aim to fix a huge water leak in Nuneaton as 'soon as possible' after residents were told it would take a week.
The situation has got so bad in Vernons Lane that some have likened the leak the to size of Seeswood Pool.
Water has been spurting out of the leak on the street and residents were told they would have to wait a week for it to be repaired.
This, said one, was a joke considering the plea made from the firm only yesterday for people across the region to keep an eye on their water usage and not use hosepipes or sprinklers.
"Severn Trent send a message out about water usage yet there is a leak on Vernons Lane that makes it look more like Seeswood Pool," the resident said.
"But they (Severn Trent) cannot start work until July 30, doesn't seem right."
CoventryLive contacted Severn Trent and within a matter of hours, engineers were spotted at the leak.
