He suffered serious head injuries say police



A man suffered serious head injuries when he was punched so hard he fell backwards onto the ground in Leamington.

Police have said that the victim, a man in his 20s, remains in hospital following the attack last night (June 4).

His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.

Investigating officers say that he was stood with friends on the junction of Bedford Street and Regent Street, when he was punched in the face by an unknown suspect.

The victim fell backwards onto the ground, causing the serious head injury.

The suspect fled the scene and now police want to catch him.

He has been described as Asian, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, of a medium to large build.

He was believed to be wearing a black baseball cap, a navy t-shirt, white shorts, white trainers and may have been carrying a black bag.

Anyone who knows who he is, witnessed the attack at around 9.30pm or has any information should call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 447 of June 4.
