A man was injured in a shooting in a Coventry street last night.

The incident happened in Mansel Street, Foleshill, shortly after 7pm on Monday (March 22).

Police have launched an investigation following the shooting, during which a number shots were fired from a shotgun.

The man sustained injuries to his foot but police have said they are not serious.

There was also some damage to the widow of a property.

Detectives have urged anyone with information on the shooting to get in touch.
