Warning of heavy snow in West Midlands

Drivers have been warned that widespread ice was likely to cause dangerous driving conditions across the West Midlands.



The Met Office said rain and sleet falls would lead to ice on untreated surfaces in many areas.

It issued a warning of severe weather for the region, and is predicting heavy snow in many places on Saturday.

Temperatures were likely to be between -2C and -8C overnight on Friday.

There was already ice under foot when I went out in the early hours of the morning.
