Locals will play a key role
Big changes are coming to Coventry's War Memorial Park - and locals can play a part in it.
The city council has revealed that it wants to change the play areas in the popular park.
It says that it wants to add a new play area as well as a modern open plan Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)
"The current play area has been a place for families to enjoy for years, but it’s time for an upgrade," the council said.
But it wants residents to have their say on what the new facilities will look like.
It has launched an online survey, which will run throughout the summer.
"The proposed project will replace these outdated facilities with a modern, fully accessible Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and an upgraded children’s play area," the survey states.
"This upgrade will ensure continued free access to a vital community space that promotes exercise, supports healthy lifestyles and strengthens social interaction and community ties.
"We want to know what you think about the current play area and what is important to you when you visit the play area."
The survey can be found online here
