Police have revealed their images and names in a hunt to find them
Police have released the names and pictures of four teenagers wanted over the murder of Michael Ababio in Coventry. They urged anyone who had seen them to call 999.
The 18-year-old victim was found with a stab wound close to Foleshill Library on Sunday, February 22. He later died in hospital.
A murder investigation was launched and, following raids at addresses in Coventry and Stratford in Warwickshire, police named four teenage suspects.
They are: Shakeel Ahmed, Mouhammadou Barry, and Ismail Nabeel, who are all 17, and Mahad Mohammed, who is 19.
Det Insp Nigel Box, who is leading the investigation, urged those who know where the four were to come forward and said Michael's family deserved answers.
“We’ve worked around-the-clock since the tragic murder of Michael as we establish exactly what happened and who was responsible," he said.
“We’ve made a number of efforts to locate and arrest the four teenagers we are naming today, and now need the public’s help as that work continues.
“I need anyone who knows where they may be, or where they have been since Sunday, to get in touch straight away and talk to us.
“Michael’s family deserve answers, and we will not rest until that happens.
“Anyone who is helping any of the four evade capture needs to know that they too face arrest.
“I’d also like to thank those who have sent information to our dedicated website. We are continuing to gather evidence and follow new lines of enquiry.”
A 19-year-old man initially arrested on suspicion of murder was later de-arrested while a man and a woman, aged 42 and 31, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
