Bavaria's carnival campaign has been suspended
Bavaria has taken its carnival campaign offline following a formal notice from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) last week.
According to the IOC, the image of five beers on a bar, among other things, bore too much resemblance to the Olympic rings.
Bavaria was surprised by this interpretation, as the campaign is primarily intended as a nod to carnival. Nevertheless, the Lieshout-based brewer removed the video from all social media channels.
Bavaria is currently working rapidly on a revised version of the campaign to be ready for the start of Carnival. The brewer is busy adjusting the visuals, a spokesperson said.
