Three masked men targeted a property in Bell Green



A woman holding a newborn baby was robbed at knifepoint in Coventry. It happened in the early hours of this morning (October 20).

Three masked men gained entry to a property on Cherrybrook Way in Bell Green at around 2.20am. One of the burglars was believed to be carrying a knife, according to Coventry Police.

It is understood the group threatened the victim, who was holding a newborn child. Police said they demanded money before quickly fleeing.

Detectives have launched a major investigation and urged people with CCTV to come forward. Footage can be provided by calling 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

A spokesman for Coventry Police said: “We were called following a burglary in Cherrybrook Way, Coventry, at around 2.20am today (October 20). It is understood three people accessed the property and demanded money from the occupiers.

“It is believed one of the burglars may have had a knife. Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101 and quoting 20/415295/25.”

So they picked that one address to rob totally at random where they somehow knew a woman had money?
