Police have revealed the two areas in Coventry they are 'paying attention to' amid a rise in trouble. Officers have been carrying out patrols in the Longford areas on foot and in vehicles.

"We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour such as Riley Square and Longford Park," the Longford policing team explained in their weekly update.

The team said they were continuing to see vehicle crime in the Longford areas. On Monday, July 21, between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, a vehicle was stolen in Cheam Close.

It was later found and returned to the owner. But officers still want to find out who stole it.

"If you have heard or seen anything, please contact us on 101 referencing 20/317837/25," the team said. "There has also been an increase in keyless vehicles being stolen.

"We recommend owners of these vehicles use a steering wheel lock to prevent against theft."

you don't buy a new car then expect to pay even more for security devices. This is a big failure on behalf of the motor manufacturers, who were warned when they started going down this route. :fuming: :fuming: :fuming:
