The victim was found seriously injured in Stoney Stanton Road
A teenager and a young man have been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Coventry. Detectives have been investigating the incident in Stoney Stanton Road at the start of the month.
A man, who has not been identified, was found seriously injured on January 5. Police say he was rushed to hospital although his injuries were not 'life-threatening.'
Investigations have been ongoing and today (January 20) Coventry police confirmed they have arrested and charged two men.
Horeb Mayukua, aged 21 from Hermes Crescent, Coventry, and Leonard Hunte, aged 18 from Aldrich Avenue, Coventry, have both been accused of attempted murder and possession of a blade. The pair appeared before magistrates in Coventry on January 18.
They were both emanded in custody before their next hearing, which is due to be held at Warwick Crown Court on Friday, February 14.
Detective Inspector Sherrie Kimberley, from Coventry Local Policing Area (LPA) issued a message to the community. DI Kimberley said: "I'd like to thank everyone who came forward with information following our appeal for witnesses."

Thugs jailed after man stabbed in 'horrific' attack in Coventry
Two thugs have been jailed after a 'horrific' attack on a man in Coventry. Leonard Hunte and Horeb Mayukua targeted the man on Stoney Stanton Road.
On January 5 this year, Hunte and Mayukua were driving along the road when they pulled up near the victim, who has not been identified. He was stabbed multiple times and sustained serious injuries.
Police said the man was lucky to have survived after running to a nearby shop while his attackers fled. Despite losing a large amount of blood, his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Detectives launched an investigation into the stabbing, and Hunte and Mayukua were arrested. Both were charged in January and appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Friday (September 26), where they were both sentenced.
Hunte, 19, was jailed for 12 years for wounding. Mayukua, 22, was sentenced to six and a half years in jail.
