Nuneaton Town beat Eastwood to secure sixth win on spin

Nuneaton Town remain fifth in the Blue Square Bet North following a sixth straight league victory over struggling Eastwood Town.



Boro won 2-1 at Liberty Way with goals from James Armson and former Coventry City forward Donovan Simmonds.

Armson gave the home side the lead on 13 minutes, only to have his effort cancelled out by a Matt Rhead header a minute later.

A stunning strike from Simmonds before half time claimed all three points.

In the Zamaretto Premier, Leamington were held to a goalless draw away at Salisbury City.

Rugby Town beat Marlow 2-0 at Butlin Road to move up to fourth in Division One Central, Seb Hamilton and Luke Keen both netting for the home side.

Bedworth United lost 3-1 at Beaconsfield, while Atherstone Town were thumped 6-1 at Burnham, despite taking the lead.
