Tanker crash closes part of M42 in Warwickshire

Part of the M42 has been closed in Warwickshire after a tanker crashed through the central reservation.



The vehicle, which was travelling northbound, smashed through the barrier on to the southbound side near Coleshill, police said.

The crash happened between junctions eight and nine at about 2050 GMT.

The southbound carriageway between the two junctions was expected to be closed until the early hours. Two lanes on the northbound side were also closed.
