Thieves raid Stockingford social club and empty cash out of all games machines

Police are investigating the incident in Nuneaton



Thieves raided a Nuneaton social club by emptying all of the games machines. They got into the Stockingford Sports and Social Club some time between midnight and 10am on Saturday (August 19).

They caused major damage to the games machines in the club off Arbury Road, smashing into them so that they could take all of the cash out. The suspects fled and the break-in was not discovered until management opened up the club on Saturday morning.

They raised the alarm with the police and investigation is under way, according to a spokesman for Warwickshire Police. A witness appeal has been launched for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area.

"Anyone with information can report online or call 101 quoting crime ref 23/35394/23," the police spokesman said. "Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
