A man was shot twice in Coventry while travelling in a car through Coventry. The 20-year-old suffered gunshot wounds to his leg and wrist while he was a passenger in a car in Cheylesmore on Monday night (July 11).
The car in question has been seized, police say, and CCTV footage and other evidence from Brightwalton Road is being recovered. Patrols in the area have been increased.
The incident is said to have happened around 10pm, with the victim arriving at hospital around 11pm. Having spoken with West Midlands Ambulance Service, it is understood medics were not called to the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police told CoventryLive: "We’re investigating after a man was shot inside a car on Brightwalton Road, Coventry, at around 10pm yesterday (July 11). A 20-year-old man arrived at hospital with two gunshot wounds to his leg and wrist at around 11pm. Thankfully his injuries were not life-threatening.
