Funfair coming to popular Longford park this weekend

Attractions are already being set up ready for Friday



A funfair will come to a popular city park this weekend. Wilson's Amusements is already setting up in Longford park ready for Friday (May 13).

Excitement is already building for families and thrill-seekers in the local area with signs popping up around Windmill Road, Longford Road and Aldermans Green Road. The fair will open on Friday from 5pm and again on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm.

Staff from Wilson's Amusements are already busy at the park delivering and putting up the attractions close to the changing rooms entrance near the football courts.

Their Facebook page reads: "Wilson's Amusements of Redditch are a family run funfair which has a range of rides and attractions suitable for all the family. You can find us at many high profile fairs such as Oxford St Giles, Stratford-upon-Avon Mop Fair and Birmingham Gay Pride, as well as our own fun fairs held around the Midlands.

"Here you can find out more about our rides, when we will be near you as well as photos and regular updates of what we are up to. You can also hire our rides and attraction for events and corporate purposes."

As yet, no prices have been announced for the fair in Longford Park, but at a Wilson's event last month in Redditch they were charging £1 per person entrance fee which included £10 worth of discount vouchers. Find out more about Wilson's Amusements on their Facebook page.
