Boots has apologised for the closure of a popular store in Nuneaton. The shop in Arbury Road was closed at the weekend, with signs on the shutters.

The signs said the store was forced to close on Saturday March 19 due to a lack of pharmacist. The Stockingford-based store did open late on Friday to allow more customers to pick up their prescriptions.

But the closure left many wondering whether the busy shop would be open this week. However, a Boots spokesperson confirmed to CoventryLive that the store is now open as usual, with no forthcoming closures expected.

They also apologised to any inconvenience caused to customers. The spokesperson said: “We can confirm that our Stockingford Arbury Road store had to temporarily close for an hour on Friday morning and for the day on Saturday. This was unforeseen and was due to pharmacist availability.

"The store is now open as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused."
