Thieves steal car from elderly man in Coventry

Police recovered the vehicle a day later



Thieves stole an 88-year-old man's car in Coventry.

The dark red Ford Fiesta was taken in Albert Crescent, Keresley, at around 7pm on Friday, March 4.

However, the quick actions of police saw the car recovered just a day later and returned to the grateful owner.

Details of the incident were posted on Twitter by South Coventry Police.

They wrote: "Another vehicle recovered, this time stolen from an 88 year-old local gentleman.

"If you have any information about vehicle crime in Coventry please let us know by calling 101, or report it anonymously with @CrimestoppersUK."
