It follows reports of anti-social behaviour
Police helped to evict a nuisance council tenant from a flat in Nuneaton after repeated calls about anti-social behaviour.
They struck at a property Lydgate Court, evicting the tenant, who has not been named, and boarding up the door.
The action was taken by Nuneaton Safer Neighbourhood Team officers with Nuneaton and Bedworth following what police described as 'repeated anti-social behaviour' at the property.
The property will now be cleared and the former tenant will be banned from returning.
CoventryLive asked Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council for a comment about the latest eviction and none was provided.
However, the eviction on Tuesday (February 8) was the latest in what has been a series of action against those who cause misery for neighbours.
At the end of last year, Lorraine Evans saw council property in Poyser Road seized after countless warnings over causing anti-social behaviour misery for neighbours for two years.
At the time, the council said the prosecution was 'last resort' action after numerous attempts to solve anti-social behaviour issues at the property.
Councillor Clare Golby, cabinet member for housing, said that the local authority has a zero tolerance stance with any nuisance council tenants.
"Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and if we have to take these measures with anyone else, we will," she said.
