Steve Stuart, chief executive of the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Partnership, said he estimated the group had to make savings of up to £2m.

He added £1m savings had to be found straight away with another £1m possibly by April 2011.

The organisation looks after services such as Connexions which offers careers advice for young people.

He said the partnership - which works towards economic regeneration in the area - would try to make the savings by relocating some of the offices and by reducing managerial, administration and support staff.

He said a one-stop-shop in Greyfriars Road, Coventry, which provides advice on careers, health, housing and accommodation issues for young people would probably close and smaller premises would be found.

Similar offices in Rugby and Bedworth could also move, he said.
