The owner is very keen to get his silver 2010 Peugeot 407 back
A Coventry man has revealed the moment he woke up to find his car had been stolen from his driveway.
CCTV on the front of Aravinda Hettiarachchige's house caught the theft as it happened - and it is believed a man who tried to gain entry to other cars down Armscott Road is responsible.
The incident happened on Monday morning, and now Mr Hettiarachchige is asking for help as he searches desperately for the car, a silver 2010 Peugeot 407.
Mr Hettiarachchige said: "He was checking all the cars down the street.
"My neighbours have CCTV 10 or so houses down from me and they caught him on camera trying to get into cars.
"He managed to get into my car at 3.16am and drove off at 6.02am.
"I can't be sure but I think he just got in and fell asleep."
Mr Hettiarachchige said the thief arrived on a bike and that later another man collected the bike the thief rode in on.
He believes they could be working in a pair.
