It has stood empty since December last year
Nuneaton's former H&M unit is being fitted out to welcome a new tenant.
It has been confirmed to CoventryLive that Unit 2 in the Ropewalk Shopping Centre will soon no longer be empty.
H&M previously occupied the large unit but closed its doors in December last year.
We have been told that the unit will now become home to a new Jobcentre Plus branch.
In April, the DWP confirmed that it was on the hunt to find locations for a new temporary job centre.
At that point, the front runner was the former HMV unit in the shopping centre.
Now, the H&M unit, which is based opposite the former music store, will house the new job centre.
Works to fit out the unit are due to start imminently with a view to opening in October.
It will be in addition to the current and longstanding job centre in Mill Walk.
We have contacted the DWP for a comment about its official opening date.
