Two men and a woman found in a car in Coventry with heroin and crack cocaine with a street value of around £25,000 and more than £2,000 in cash have been jailed.

Ahmed Kadir, Ibrahim Mohammedzai and Amaal Fatah had all denied possessing the two class A drugs with intent to supply them, each claiming they knew nothing about them.

But a jury at Warwick Crown Court found all three guilty of both charges last month, and the case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports to be prepared on them.

At the resumed hearing Kadir, 26, of Ivor Road, Foleshill, 27-year-old Mohammedzai, of Lloyd Drive, Coventry, and Fatah, 23, of Mansel Road, Small Heath, Birmingham, were jailed for three years.

Jailing the three, Recorder Syfret said: “The prosecution invited the conclusion that the three of them were involved in the re-supply of street dealers and the collection of drug money.

“There is nothing in this that is contradicted by the evidence, but I do not need to make a finding on that. Each was playing a part in the enterprise.

“All three continue to maintain their innocence – a remarkable position, but perhaps a not unexpected one.”
