Officers want to trace two dog walkers as part of their investigation
Police investigating an alleged domestic assault are urgently trying to trace two dog walkers who may have vital information.
A 17-year-old girl approached a dog walker for help in Whoberley Woods between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, July 4.
The female dog walker was wearing red wellies and a puffa-style jacket with a fur trim. She left to contact police when it is alleged the offender returned.
The teenager was wearing pyjama bottoms, a green top and black coat.
Police also believe there was a similar incident in the same woods two days before, when a man walking two springer spaniels intervened.
Officers are keen to speak to them both as we believe they could hold vital information to aid the investigation.
A 21-year-old man has been charged with two counts of assault and possession of cannabis in connection. He appeared before Coventry Magistrates' Court yesterday (July 8) where he was remanded in custody to appear at a later date at Warwick Crown Court.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "If you recognise these descriptions or have any information relating to these (alleged) assaults, we are urging to you to contact us quoting crime reference number 20CV/156902W/20.
"You can contact us via live chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, call 101 anytime or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
