Police are searching for a dog walker after the victim suffered "nasty injuries"
A driver was bitten and hit with a dog lead in a “shocking and violent attack” in Coventry.
Police are now searching for a dog walker in connection with the attack and urging anyone with information to come forward.
The incident happened yesterday morning (May 1) on Aldermans Green Road.
The driver is reported to have got into a dispute with a man who was walking his dog.
West Midlands Police said the dog walker caused damage to the driver’s car. The driver was then bitten a number of times by a dog and was hit with a metal dog lead.
The dog walker is described as white, of stocky build and possibly had wavy hair.
Sergeant Tom Reid, of the Henley and Longford neighbourhood policing team, said “This was a shocking and violent attack which led to the victim receiving some nasty injuries.
“I urge anybody who has any knowledge of this incident to come forward. If you witnessed anything or have any dash cam or other footage please get in touch.”
